教室が20名程度の生徒たちと始まった2008年から私たちを英語レッスンの場に選んで通ってきてくれていた当時小学校3年生だったH君が、中学校進学と同時にレッスンに来られなくなることを理由に今月で教室を去っていきます。。悲しい！！遠方から毎週レッスンに通ってきてくれていたので中学生になっても継続するのは難しいだろうなあ、何となく予想していたとはいえ、私たちは落胆しています。。 同じ理由で葉梨エリアから3年近く通って来てくれていたK君も教室を去っていきます。さびしいですね。始めはABCも怪しかった彼らが、今では立派に文章を読み書きし、英語の質問にも受け答えできるようになっている。。本当に誇りです。
でも『去っていってしまう、悲しい』ではなく、『ここで3－4年間一緒に英語を勉強してくれてありがとう』という気持ちをもって最後までレッスンしたいと思います。
ありがたいことに生徒も増え、できたら分校を作りたいと考えるようになった今日この頃。それでもやはり私たちにとって生徒ひとりひとりはとても大切な存在です。誰が教室を去ってしまっても毎回私たちの心の中にはしばらく穴が開いてしまいます。新しい子供たちが4月から入ってきます。どんな出会いが待っているのか、楽しみです。3月はそんなとてもセンチメンタルな毎日です。
A boy H who has been with us since we just started with only about 20 students is leaving us as he is going to jr high school and won't be able to make it here in time any more... SO SAD!! Although we had been kind of expecting this as he lived far from here, it still does disappoint us badly. A boy K is also leaving us for the same reason. He was coming from Hanashi for almost 3 years. They've learned so much in this past years. They didn't even know their ABCs perfectly at first. But now, they can handle reading, writing and carry on some conversation. We are so proud.
We should be happy about having had them for all this years than be sad and all depressed about them leaving this month.
That is such a fortunate thing that we have gained a lot of students and become to even think about openig the second location. Even with all that growth, every one of our students means a lot to us and it really is very sad thing to see them go. It is exciting to welcome all the new kids in April though, March is such a sentimental month.
